Pichon-Lalande Verticle

WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE
Dave, Dale, Mary, Linda, Joe and Bob. Dinner was a fondue. Beef, mushroom, shrimp and, of course, cheese. For desert there was a chocolate fondue with stawberries (California grown, thank you), oranges, bananas and angel food cake (thanks for the help Mary ;-).
The wines were a verticle from 1975 through 1994 of Pichon de Laungeville, Comtesse-Lalande Bordelais Reds.

ZAP Annual Tasting

WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE
(Dave, Joe, Linda-- they were there but I didn't see them) and myself I missed the dinner, but the tastings were great.
The wines were from all the Zinfandel produceres in the area. Some 3,000 people attended (which was why I couldn't find Joe, Linda and Dave). I got through the A's through L's and then had only enough time to select a few of the M's through Z's. Most were good but there were a few DNPIM (do not put in mouth)!

Lyton Springs Zinfandels

WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE
Dave, Joe, Linda, Steve, Dale and myself Dinner was grilled, marinated tri-tip by Dave -- EXCELLENT.
The wines were the 1987 Lyton Springs Zinfandel (very good but a little chunky), the 1991 Ridge Lyton Springs Zinfandel (my favorite), the 1991 Ridge Reserve Lyton Springs Zinfandel (excellent but a bit less forward) and the 1992 Ridge Pagrini Zinfandel (very drinkable but really just a baby)
