Pichon-Lalande Verticle |
||||
| WHO | WHAT | WHEN | WHERE | |
| Dave, Dale, Mary, Linda, Joe and Bob. |
Dinner was a fondue. Beef, mushroom, shrimp and, of course, cheese. For desert there was a chocolate fondue with stawberries (California grown, thank you), oranges, bananas and angel food cake (thanks for the help Mary ;-). The wines were a verticle from 1975 through 1994 of Pichon de Laungeville, Comtesse-Lalande Bordelais Reds. | June 1997 | My place.

ZAP Annual Tasting |
||||
| WHO | WHAT | WHEN | WHERE | |
| (Dave, Joe, Linda-- they were there but I didn't see them) and myself |
I missed the dinner, but the tastings were great. The wines were from all the Zinfandel produceres in the area. Some 3,000 people attended (which was why I couldn't find Joe, Linda and Dave). I got through the A's through L's and then had only enough time to select a few of the M's through Z's. Most were good but there were a few DNPIM (do not put in mouth)! | Saturday, January 25, 1997 | Fort Mason

Lyton Springs Zinfandels |
||||
| WHO | WHAT | WHEN | WHERE | |
| Dave, Joe, Linda, Steve, Dale and myself |
Dinner was grilled, marinated tri-tip by Dave -- EXCELLENT. The wines were the 1987 Lyton Springs Zinfandel (very good but a little chunky), the 1991 Ridge Lyton Springs Zinfandel (my favorite), the 1991 Ridge Reserve Lyton Springs Zinfandel (excellent but a bit less forward) and the 1992 Ridge Pagrini Zinfandel (very drinkable but really just a baby) | Thursday, December 12, 1996 | Joe and Linda's place.

1994 Pinot Noirs |
||||
| WHO | WHAT | WHEN | WHERE | |
| Dave, Joe, Priscilla, Dale and myself | Several 1994 Pinot Noirs from Northern California. The Delinger was the clear winner. | Thursday, November 7, 1996 | Lotus in Mountain View | |
