One of the things I enjoy doing is entertaining at home. I don't really have the time I'd like but I do try to get a few folks over once in a while. Below is a listing of some of the things I have planned. If you decide to join me, just give me a call before hand if you haven't received an invitation-- I don't want to run out of food!

Winter Solstice
Once a year, on the longest night of the year, I hold a small get-together. On (or about) the 21st of December, a hundred and fifty or so of my closest friends are invited to come share the spirit of the season. Keeping in mind that no food has any calories from Thanksgiving to New Years, there are delicacies and treats for all, as well as an abundance of companionship and good wishes.
Check your email for a reminder soon after Thanksgiving each year.
Poker Night
About once a month I try to have a few folks over for poker. No 'high stakes'-- just a friendly game. Most of the time it's just a few of us but we have had games of up to ten people (two games). If you're into it, send me a note and I'll let you know next time we play.
Gaming
In addition to poker, I enjoy almost any type of game you can think of. Periodically a group of us get together and play Trivial Pursuit , or Miles Borne , or other board/card games. I've also been known to get into a game of Dungeons & Dragons or Shadowrun from time to time-- talk about escapism...
Weekly Study Group
As part of my involvement in Kappa Sigma, a few of the alumni in the Bay Area get together every Tuesday, or so, to review various aspects of our fraternal tradition. It's a great chance to compare notes and see if the Kappa Sigma experience is really as similar as we think it is-- so far, it is!
If you're a Kappa Sigma initiate and would like to join us, send me a
message
and I'll let you know when our next scheduled meeting is.
